This imposing and beautiful palm is characterized by the unique way the leaf bases are arranged to form the shape of a triangle. Tall, stiff, grey green pinnate leaves grow almost upright from the trunk and eventually begin arcing around 1m from the tip. The solitary trunk, brown grey in colour is upright and smooth but marked by rings of fallen leaves. Although frost
